Thank You For Your Interest In Our GMAT Tutoring

As seen in:

Thank you for your interest in our 1-on-1 tutoring services for the GMAT. One of our academic managers, each with over 8 years of GMAT prep experience, will reach out to you in the next 24 hours.

What to expect during your consultation:

Your consultation with one of our test prep experts will last for 15-20 minutes.  During that time you should expect to cover:

  • Any questions you have about the GMAT or the MBA admissions process
  • Existing scores if you have previously taken the GMAT
  • Past study efforts or practice scores
  • Relative strengths and weaknesses on the verbal and quant sections
  • Study timeline, test date, and target round application deadlines
  • Any questions you have about our one-on-one GMAT tutoring program

What to expect if you decide to work with us:

We start by helping you develop a GMAT study schedule based on test date, diagnostic scores, and score target.

Then, at each session you will review the homework and do new practice together. You and your tutor will focus on key strategies and work on developing weaknesses and polishing strengths.

You can spend as much (or as little!) time as you want on certain parts of the exam. Want to spend 95% of your time on Verbal? No problem! Need to focus exclusively on the quantitative section? Again, no problem! Your tutor will help you raise your score through targeted work.

Who are our tutors?

At Next Step, we realize that excellent tutors have three simple things: experience, expertise, and teaching ability.

1. Experience

There’s no substitute for it! Good teaching requires experience. Unlike other test prep companies that don’t require any experience, all of our tutors have significant teaching experience before they even walk into an interview with us.

2. Expertise

Your tutor will be a GMAT expert. We are exceptionally selective in our hiring, so you will have a real GMAT expert who has taken the exam and achieved a top score.

3. Teaching Ability

It’s not enough to have experience teaching, you’ve actually got to be good at it!All of our tutors go through a rigorous evaluation (most don’t get hired because the evaluation is so selective). Our tutors demonstrate that they have the skills needed to help you excel.

Want to know what our students think? Here are a couple of testimonials from some of our students:

“I was working through some nondescript books for the GMAT and was getting frustrated, not knowing what specifically I needed to know to ace the test.  After much research, I decided to try Next Step Test Preparation. After my first tutoring session, I knew I made the right decision.  Not only is Next Step more cost effective than most of the other popular GMAT courses on the market but for the price you also get one-on-one GMAT tutoring.  Thanks to Peter, my tutor, I improved my score by 120 points in just 4 weeks.  I loved Peter’s enthusiasm for teaching. He equipped me with the knowledge and confidence I needed to prep me in all the math basics that I had initially struggled with.  I highly recommend Next Step Test Preparation to anyone who is looking to improve their GMAT scores.”

“Choosing Next Step for GMAT preparation was one of my best professional decisions. I considered a prep class, but since my goal was a score of 700+ I wanted a very qualified GMAT tutor that could structure a customized study plan to help me reach that goal. Working with Mike, I was able to raise my score from 620 to 730. Next Step has been instrumental in helping me achieve my MBA admissions goals; I would recommend them to anyone.”
