Meet Our Boston LSAT Tutor

Dan scored in the 99th percentile on the LSAT. He’s a graduate of Harvard Law School and a former professor of law at Northeastern and Harvard Law School. He practiced law for 18 years. Outside of tutoring for Next Step, he is now a practicing psychotherapist and performance coach.

Michael is one Next Step’s most experienced and highly demanded tutors. He is a graduate of the University of Chicago and is currently a full-time tutoring professional. He has more than a decade of tutoring experience, and he taught a wide variety of academic and test preparation subjects. His specialties, however, are the GRE, GMAT and LSAT. He helped author some of Next Step’s teaching material for the LSAT. It is that process of writing that has helped Michael develop the extra level of insight necessary to truly understand the test and communicate that understanding to his students.

Mike has been building LSAT, GMAT and GRE courses, teaching classes, and tutoring since 2004 full time. He has a bachelor’s degree from Brown University in the honors writing program and an MBA in finance with the #1 rank. He previously had jobs as a magazine editor-in-chief and hedge fund assistant director. His official scores are LSAT 177, GMAT 770, and GRE 169/170.

All of our LSAT instructors have scored in the 90th percentile or above.

CHRISCHRISNext Step LSAT Student
From the first session to the last, my Next Step LSAT tutor’s lessons always made a concrete improvement in my test taking skills.  After completing a Kaplan course without as much improvement as I expected, Next Step’s tutoring came as a welcome relief.
ALYSSAALYSSANext Step LSAT Student
My tutor went above and beyond in helping me go over my June LSAT and really took the time to get to know me and how I handled each section. Because of her patience, expertise and the time she took to get to know me I was able to get advice from her that was completely tailored to me. I was fully prepared and exceptionally confident.
DAVIDDAVIDNext Step LSAT Student
Before working with Next Step, I took a LSAT practice test and scored a 143.  By the time I took the LSAT, I was scoring in the 150s.
