Our GRE students have gained acceptance to some of the top grad school programs around the country including these DC programs:
3520 Prospect Street, N.W., Washington D.C. 20057-1005
Located in the historic Georgetown neighborhood of Washington DC, Georgetown University was founded in 1789. This private research university hosts a wide range of graduate programs with many interdisciplinary and dual degree programs available. Located just minutes from downtown DC, the amount of off campus opportunities should come as no surprise. Georgetown also has a Graduate Student Government for those looking to get involved on campus. While there is not currently an on-campus graduate housing option, the school is planning to offer one soon; for now, it offers many resources to help students find off-campus housing in DC or nearby Virginia neighborhoods.
4400 Massachusetts Avenue, N.W., Washington, DC 20016
Founded in 1893, American University is located in a suburban area of Washington DC. It is nearby public transportation and is only about a 15-minute transit ride to downtown DC. AU has 7 different schools, including the College of Arts & Sciences, the School of Communication, the School of International Service, and the School of Public Affairs. With a strong focus on community, giving back, and a global perspective, students at AU are considered to be very politically active. Its location in the political center of our nation only adds to this activity. Many students choose to study abroad while attending and there are graduate study abroad opportunities.
George Washington University
2201 G Street, N.W., Washington, DC 20052
Located in the Foggy Bottom neighborhood of Washington DC and only minutes from the White House, George Washington University was founded in 1821. There is also a campus in the Palisades neighborhood of DC. It has 10 colleges, including the highly-regarded Graduate School of Education and Human Development, and several programs within each, including the School of Media and Public Affairs, the Trachtenberg School of Public Policy and Public Administration, and the Graduate School of Political Management. This research university is known as being very politically active, which should come as no surprise given its Washington DC location. There are limited on-campus graduate housing options, so most graduate students live off-campus.
GRE Tutoring Reports
At the end of each lesson our tutors write up a short report to record what was covered and to keep track of a students progress. Check out one of these reports below:
In our final lesson together, the student and I talked about how to prepare for test day. I like to cover this early on the last session to alleviate whatever stress I can. We reviewed the essay homework he had done, what had improved and what had stayed the same since last time, but I can say he is certainly making great progress in that section. For the final hour, I pulled out some old and very tricky quant questions that cover a variety of topics and we did them together. He’ll do great.
