Founded in 1881, University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School in Philadelphia is the oldest school of business in the US and the second largest behind Harvard. Wharton has a larger class size with approximately 850 enrolled each year. It divides these students into Clusters of about 210 with smaller cohorts of about 70 students. Ranked #4 by U.S. News and #7 by Forbes, this program is considered to be part of the M7, an elite group of 7 private business schools known to offer the best MBA programs worldwide.  The school boasts an average GMAT score range of 700 to 770 which makes it one of the most competitive MBA programs in the world.  Located in the University City neighborhood of Philadelphia, students are surrounded by other like minded people. Fox School of Business

Fox School of Business at Temple University was founded in 1918 in Philadelphia. While it is one of the larger business schools, it has a smaller full-time MBA program. The full-time MBA is a global program, which allows students to rotate their residency at the partner schools around the world.  The average GMAT score for admitted students into the full time program is 640.  Just north of Center City Philadelphia, this campus is located in a beautiful and historic part of the country. Fox offers a Global MBA, an Executive MBA, and opportunities to earn an MBA part-time or online.

 

Lebow College of Business

LeBow College of Business at Drexel University was founded in 1896 in Philadelphia. Located in the University City neighborhood of Philadelphia, this campus is nearby beautiful and historic sites. It has one-year and two-year options as well as many part-time options.  The program is moderately competitive with the middle 50 percent of students scoring between 580 and 680. It focuses on a hands-on learning experience. After the first full year of classes, students spend their summer semester learning in a real-world situation with an internship, a corporate consulting project, or a study abroad program.

This session we went into detail on properties of integers and number theory questions. We covered factorials, tricky remainder problems, and how to use prime factors in division. After that, we covered a few strategies to do mental math quickly and accurately, since the GMAT doesn’t include a calculator. Since we had some extra time, we went over a long-form guide to Yes/No Data Sufficiency, and did a few sample questions together. Homework included a few topics in the quantitative section and a selection of Yes/No DS questions.
